The first step of your IPL Hair Reduction journey. Your therapist will review the treatment area, discuss the outcomes you are after, explain the process and perform a patch test so that you are ready for subsequent IPL Hair Reduction treatments. A patch test is a small test treatment performed on the skin before your full IPL or SHR appointment. It allows your therapist to assess how your skin responds to the treatment settings and helps ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin type, tone and area of concern.

This treatment is only suitable for light brown right through to black hair. Not suitable for blonde, white or grey hair. Please ensure you do not have any unprotected sun exposure or tan application to the treated area for two weeks before your appointment. If this is not possible we cannot perform the treatment and no refunds will be offered. Please note hair needs to be visible for the consultation.

Patch testing is an important safety step because everyone’s skin can respond differently. It helps reduce the risk of unwanted reactions, gives your therapist confidence in choosing the correct settings, and allows you to ask any questions before beginning your treatment plan.
